Each year my readers have been so kind as to email the proof that my predictions have come true.  I sincerely appreciate it and hope that you will do so again this year because there is no way I can keep up with it unless you help.

I have left the email as is with the exception of taking away the carriage returns so that it will fill the page from margin to margin.  The names and addresses have also been erased to keep each person's anonymity.

I noted that last week a new planet was found that is thought can sustain Human life and has similar atmospheric conditions, it is however so far away from us that it is said we may not ever know. I hope this is incorrect as I think I'd like to know if there is life on other planets? At least that of a friendly variety.

Hi, my name is J and I am writing to you from Canada. I just finished reading your predictions for my country and I noticed that one of them was that a well known leader dies. In our paper today (January 10, 1999) Saul Rae a former Canadian ambassador whose career spanned more than 40 years died (he was the father of former premier of Ontario Bob Rae). Could this be it?

Your prediction about Lubbock, TX seems to be right. We are currently facing a lawsuit from the basketball coaches at Hampton University; they are charging racial prejudice on the part of Lubbock police in their arrests late in 1998. Of course, they were cleared later and charges were dropped. Apparently, Johnny Cochran will be representing them in their suit against the City of Lubbock...

Sincerely,

hi! you know your prediction about a star is born-well here is an article that might confirm that one was found.

Namaste! As we physically find more Grah(as) we realize in greater measure the potential reservoir of spirituality. Here is a news item about another planet -- what shall it be named?

NZ Scientists Discover Planet That May Host Life

Wellington - An international team of scientists has discovered an Earth-size planet in the middle of the Milky Way believed to have the potential to support life, a New Zealand member of the group said Tuesday. ``It has a probable mass range between that of the Earth and that of the planet Neptune. Probably it would be a little bit heavier than the Earth,'' researcher Ian Bond said, reports Reuters.

Auckland University fellow Bond said by telephone from the Mount John observatory in New Zealand's South Island that the planet was the right distance from the nearest star to sustain life. ``It will be something like between one to four astronomical units, which places it in a promising region,'' he said. An astronomical unit is calculated to be the mean distance between the center of the earth and the center of the sun. A team of New Zealand and Japanese astronomers, working with Australian and U.S. partners observing from Australia's Mount Stromlo, discovered the planet last July. They presented their findings at an American Astronomical Society meeting in the United States over the weekend. The two teams used a relatively new technique called gravitational microlensing, which essentially uses the chance alignment of dim and bright stars to detect potential planets. ``This is the first discovery using the microlensing technique. It's the only technique that is sensitive to earth-size planets,'' Bond said. The planet, which is around 30,000 light years away, cannot be seen directly and there was no way of confirming whether it has water or any of the elements that may support life, he added. Bond, with Auckland University Associate Professor Philip Yock and Japanese astronomers, will resume stargazing around the Milky Way in April for more extrasolar planets. There are at least 17 known planets outside the solar system, but few are believed to be capable of sustaining life. The joint New Zealand-Japanese team is funded by both governments.

I was reading your weather predictions for the US. So far, you have been correct. We have just gone through a period of 70 degree weather for about three days and a period of 50-60 degree weather for about 10 days. This was between Jan 20 & 30. In the Great Lakes (Ohio where I live) we have had snow, ice, snow for fifteen straight days.

As for earthquakes (in Japan) and rushes (in Colombia, along with a new government), I wonder if the recent earthquake there which has only confirmed 950 dead, but it's more like 10,000; and which has caused wide spread looting (a severe rush on precious goods [like gold of a sort], might lead to reform of some sort, like a new government? what do you think?

if you get a chance, please respond!

thanks

Dear Da Juana,

The death of King Hussein of Jordan has been reported this weekend. Could this be the death in Saudi Arabia you predicted, as Jordan is part of the Saudi region. He was a good man and a peace maker who will be sadly missed by his own people and those of us around the world who wish for peace.

Another very unusual weather occurrence has happened which corresponds with DuJuana's predictions of warm weather during the winter. On Feb 11-12, there was a storm which ran from Minneapolis to Houston. The temperature variations was 25 to 75 degrees, left or right of the storm. It dropped heavy rain, spawned tornadoes, and heavy snows. It came and went in twenty four hours!

Dawn of A New Solar System

One star, three giant planets: astronomers come closer to finding a place in the universe that looks like home

By Patricia King and Thomas Hayden

Life as we know it? An artist's rendering of the just-discovered solar system of Upsilon Andromedae (Lynette R. Cook, San Francisco State University-AP Photo)

Geoffrey Marcy spotted it first, late one evening in early March, and he dashed off an e-mail to a colleague in Australia before heading home. The next morning, Debra Fischer, Marcy's post-doc researcher at San Francisco State University, sat staring at an array of dots on her computer screen. The dots, data gathered over 11 years at the University of California's Lick Observatory, represented tiny shifts in the motion of Upsilon Andromedae, a roughly Sun-sized star in the constellation Andromeda. Some of those dots fell into a regular pattern that represented the gravitational tug of a large, close-in planet orbiting the star every 4.6 days. Overlaid on that was a second pattern of motion, which Marcy and Fischer believed was evidence of a second planet orbiting the same star. But there were still some movements unaccounted for. "Something was not quite right about this star," Fischer says, and as she adjusted her mathematical models to remove the effects of the two hypothesized planets, suddenly the left-over data arranged itself into regular undulations. A chill went up her spine, followed by a burst of pleasure at the "gorgeous" data scrolling across her screen. There weren't two planets orbiting Upsilon Andromedae after all, she realized. There were three.

If Fischer was elated, though, Marcy was "frightened"; the discovery of a new solar system with multiple planets, like our own, was so unexpected that he worried people "might think we're lunatics." Only after 10 days of exhaustively rechecking his calculations did Marcy call his collaborator Robert Noyes of Harvard, who was observing the same star at the Whipple Observatory in Arizona. His first words were: "Bob, I hope you're sitting down" and only after Noyes confirmed the pattern with his own data did the two teams announce their findings last week. It was, after all, only four years ago that the only planets known to orbit a normal star were the nine in Earth's solar system. (A planetary system surrounding a neutron star-which emits X-rays rather than visible light-was found in 1992.) Since 1995 about 20 extrasolar planets have been discovered. But all have been solitary, raising the question of whether our nine-planet system is somehow unique. The discovery of Upsilon Andromadae's three planets, says Fischer, "implies that our Milky Way is teeming with planetary systems."

I read your 1999 predictions and have the following observations to report:

Health:

What you eat can help you reduce your chances of getting cancer. One person eats healthier and her cancer goes into remission. Coincidence?

India:

India and Pakistan are in a nuclear arms race. These are two countries that don't like each other, we are all holding our breath. Some one should tell them with great power comes great responsibility.

Bulgaria:

Close to Serbia and Yugoslavia, where the real problem is. In the right area, and probably the correct information. Any more insight into the situation?

A star is born:

A solar system that is 44 light years away and is known to have 3 gas giants orbiting around it. It is further speculated that there could be more planets around it, possibly in the "life belt". Wait around and see.

I know you make these predictions before the new year, but is there a mid year clarification reading? You said that there would be FEAR in Colorado, and right now there is. My prayers go out to all of the students and families in Littleton Colorado.

Subject: Prediction for 1999 concerning AUSTRALIA
Date: Thu, 6 May 1999 11:39:42 +1000

Hi there!

Was just looking at your predictions for 1999 (my first time on your site) and noticed the one for Australia. Thought you might like to know that I think you were right! About 2-3 weeks ago in Sydney, we had one of the worst hail storms on record with hail the size of cricket balls. This storm caused severe damage to some of our suburbs and peoples homes, cars etc were absolutely ruined because of it. I think they actually officially declared the area a "disaster" zone. The other difficulty this caused apart from the physical damage to homes and property, was that our emergency services could not cope with the thousands of requests from people to help them in their difficulty (i.e. repairing roofs etc because we still had bad weather). There was an uproar in the press and from the general public because no one knew who to contact or who could help them and there were just streets of homes devastated as a result of this storm. Their were arguments as to why the army hadn't been brought in etc. etc but basically people just couldn't find out what they should do or who would help. Even the prime minister and our state Premier were involved!

On the southeast side of the island in a very large city, there will be turmoil. I see people very upset. They have an unsettled feeling as if they are at a loss for guidance.

In April a huge hail storm hit Sydney (Australia's biggest city - approx 5 million people). Damage was severe, however the government did not call in the army to help for several weeks which upset alot of people. It is estimated that the damage will not be repaired until the end of the year, at the earliest.

Earlier in the day 2 black women had robbed the Wal-Mart store in Lubbock and the Lubbock police mistakenly arrested the two women black coaches. This made national news and also was either on 20/20 or Prime Time Live or Date Line. Anyway the town of Lubbock never apologized to these two nationally know women coaches. The two women coaches are suing the town of Lubbock, Texas.

Southern California had a 7.0 earthquake on Oct 16th 1999... Do you need proof???

Subject: Earthquake So Ca

Special Report: The Hector Mine Earthquake, 10/16/1999
(Updated 10/21/99)

A M7.1 earthquake occurred at 2:46 a.m. local time on 10/16/1999. The event was located in a remote, sparsely-populated part of the Mojave desert, approximately 47 miles east-southeast of Barstow and 32 miles north of Joshua Tree. The initial magnitude estimate of 7.0 was upgraded to 7.1 on October 18, 1999, based on in-depth analysis of "teleseismic" data recorded worldwide. Like music, earthquake waves include both "high tones" and "low tones"--the latter, which are recorded by sensitive seismic instruments around the globe--are crucial in constraining the magnitude of large events, but are not analyzed quite as quickly as data from the immediate southern California region.

The Hector Mine earthquake is not considered an aftershock of the M7.3 Landers earthquake of 1992, although subsequent analysis will explore the relationship between these two events.

On average, an earthquake of M7.0 is expected to generate approximately seven aftershocks of M5 or larger within the first week. Three M>5 events occurred on the first day of the sequence: a M5.3 event at 2:49 local time, a M5.8 event at 5:57 a.m., and a M5.0 at 10:38 a.m. 25 aftershocks of M4 or larger occurred within the first 36 hours of the sequence. The rate of aftershocks is very close to the average expected for a mainshock of this magnitude.

The earthquake occurred on the Lavic Lake fault, one of a series of north-northwest trending faults through the eastern Mojave shear zone. Geologists from the U.S. Geological Survey and Southern California Earthquake Center were able to fly over the rupture (which is within the Twenty Nine Palms Marine Base) on the afternoon of October 16 and documented a 40-km long surface rupture. The aerial photos show an apparent maximum offset of 3.8 - 4.7 meters. These preliminary estimates for both fault length and slip are consistent with expectations for a M7.0 earthquake, although the slip is perhaps somewhat larger than average.

The Lavic Lake fault had not previously been identified as active because there is no evidence the fault had ruptured in the past 10,000 years. Although it had been mapped by Thomas Diblee, Jr., he did not name the fault. Compared to other faults nearby, it seemed less impressive. Other faults had much more dramatic scarps from prehistoric earthquakes. The Hector Mine earthquake may therefore be a "rare" event; one whose occurrence could not have been anticipated based on a standard probabilistic assessment of earthquake rates. However, the fault is part of a set of roughly parallel faults through the Mojave desert, and the zone as a whole was certainly recognized as capable of producing large earthquakes. The Hector Mine earthquake may therefore help us understand the detailed structure of this complex fault zone.

Geologists are working to map the surface rupture in detail. Scientists with Caltech and the US Geological Survey are continuing to analyze the abundant seismic data recorded from the Hector Mine Earthquake and its aftershocks. In addition to the classic aftershock sequence, the earthquake has apparently triggered small earthquakes as far south as the California-Mexico border. Scientists are monitoring these events carefully, as some of them have occurred close to the southern end of the San Andreas fault.

The Southern California Seismic Network is in the process of a major upgrade involving installation of state-of-the-art instrumentation to provide far more detailed information about shaking than has been available in the past. Real-time results from the new Trinet network were able to produce ShakeMaps showing the distribution of shaking over Southern California. In addition, over 23,000 people have electronically filled out a questionnaire for the Did You Feel It? Community Internet Intensity Map (CIIM).

The SCIGN Project is also in the process of installing a state-of-the-art integrated GPS monitoring system in southern California. The SCIGN results for the Hector Mine earthquake show the co-seismic displacement associated with the earthquake.

Please read the general disclaimer.

A strong earthquake of 5.3 or more will rock your borders. It will hit all three or
just two but the hits will be felt because of California.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.0 hit the southwestern part of California a few months ago. It derailed a train. It was probably felt in Nevada and possibly Arizona too.

We will acknowledge that a new star has been found which can sustain life as
we know it. I guess when people on other planets see us, they think we are a

I actually heard that a solar system was found in the galaxy Andromeda, and they were going to try to see if any of the planets had the characteristics needed to sustain life. I'm not sure if they were able to find out, but I think I will go to the NASA web page next to find out.

Greetings,

Just read your predictions and wanted to let you know that last weekend there was a major earthquake outside of Los Angeles that was felt here in Yuma... in Phoenix..... and in Nevada. It was a 7something on the Richter scale and centered at a place called Joshua Tree. My husband and myself moved here in August, he just retired in May. We came to Yuma because I felt a call to be here. I don't know for what yet but have to just trust. In the time that I have been here we have felt a total of 3 earthquakes and 2 of them were our own, right in the local area. There will be more too, even in Texas I feel. When I was reading your predictions about Queen Elizabeth I felt death strongly, either her or the Queen Mother. (Proper term?) Something maybe as soon as the next 4 to 6 months.

Sorry but I can't order a horoscope for 2 reasons. First I really can't afford it and secondly... it seems that each time I have tried one they were all geared to my personality and along that line. There never seems to be anything of what the alignments for the future are going to bring. Maybe I just don't have an understanding of horoscopes. You do however have my best wishes and blessings. I feel there is going to be great joy and love in your life very soon if not already.. you are surrounded by sunshine.
