Your Color Personality

Your Color Personality

Color actually does color our lives.  It is used to find food, blush at a first romance, define differences and likes and to create an overall picture of whom we are.  From pretext to quality, makeup to praise, color infiltrates our lives.

Colors create an environment in which our personalities grow.  Though they are beautiful eye candy, they are not just for enjoyment but rather for creating moods too.  Your moods are exhibited in your personality traits, which are strongly affected by color.

Color works on the psyche in ways most psychiatrists have come to understand.  There are even rules for using color in doctors’ offices, jails and other places.  For instance, doctors’ offices are generally a beautiful mauve color so that you don’t get impatient with your physician, figure out how much time you are wasting there, and walk out the door.  You’ll also generally notice the lack of a clock in their décor.  Pink rooms have been used for many years now to calm prisoners who are upset.  After about twenty minutes in a sedate pink room, some of the most hardened offenders are tranquil.  Hospitals, in years past, were always a green shade inside since green is associated with healing.

Humans aren’t the only ones who notice color.  Color is sometimes used in order to survive.  Certain birds and insects pick flowers and berries in order nourish their bodies sort of like we humans do when we find just the right blue berry or bite into a fresh red cherry.  Color tells the brain of many animals just when food is ripe enough to eat and it also warns all of us what to stay away from.  Next time you look at a flower in it’s full glory, remember that it means something different to you than it does to the bee hovering close.  Another case in point where beauty is deadly is one of the most beautiful serpents of all, a coral snake.  Our eyes see color, define it in our brain and either invites us to partake or tells us to run.

The sense of color can be seen through more than just sight.  Find Your Color Personality.
