Isn’t it March that they say comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb? Well on New Year’s Eve I felt as though 2014 was coming in like a lamb.
At the local night club where Rob Lowe filmed one of his national movies my friend, Richard, and I brought in the New Year. The crowd was unusually subdued though there was plenty of liquor available and most all participated. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves but there wasn’t a lot of rowdiness.
Since I generally don’t drink anything stronger than coffee there I watched in awe to see how well-behaved these people were. Don’t get me wrong this is a very nice place to enjoy time. The regulars of whom I’m one know everyone else but there were plenty of new people too. The crowd was large and that in itself would lend to people playing, laughing and becoming a little more rambunctious. But it wasn’t to be.
We all enjoyed toasting the New Year with Champagne the club provided but it was like everyone was subdued waiting for 2013 to end, breathing a sigh of relief and hoping that 2014 would be better. That’s what I read from my psychic perspective.
Let’s hope this is as great a year as I think it’ll be.
Here’s to 2014. Let me know how you feel about the coming year and if you saw the same thing I did.
